I had mentioned before that I would post about crafts I did while in recovery. At first, I had wanted to work on some jar crafts but that turned out to be a major failure when I dropped one and it shattered into a billion pieces. I guess working with glass isn't that smart when you have one arm in a cast.
One day I was in quite a gloomy mood and was looking for a craft I could do.
Since I had a lot of envelopes from get-well cards, I decided to make bright & cheerful corner bookmarks!
I first made corner bookmarks for last year's EWR and they were pretty labor-intensive -- it involved precise tracing from a template and then cutting and gluing. (Good thing I had my mom and sister as helpers!) Afterward, I found out that there's a MUCH easier way to make them. It looks slightly different but it's so much faster!

Basically, you just cut off the corners of an envelope! Then just decorate with words/pictures you like (if you are weird like me, you can look in your piles of pre-saved cut-outs from magazines/stationary/etc.) I also have a lot of TJC bookmarks from past years with lovely verses. Coat with a layer of Modge Podge and let dry.
Repeat as often as needed until the cheerful sayings have started to make you feel better as well. Try not to obsess too much over the perfect "a" hehe. Pass out to your friends and feel happy when you see their appreciative smiles. :)
