A friend sprained her ankle recently so that gave me the opportunity to make a small get-better package, which included some epsom salt for her to try out. I had recently discovered epsom salt as a natural remedy and heard good things about it from others.
Epsom salt (magnesium sulfate): a naturally-occurring mineral used for medicinal purposes, such as reducing inflammation and soothing aches/pains.

As I added a sprinkling of amazing-smelling jasmine bath salts (thanks Jen!) to the jar, I thought of other ladies in my life who recently have things going on that are stressful or tiring (e.g. pharmacy board exams, moving, a visit from a difficult relative, major career choices/stress).
More jars of epsom salts were needed!
For one of them, I used one of the lids I painted last time during my paint color trials. Modge podge on a doily + raffia tied around the bottle and you're done!
The only thing that took kind of long was handwriting her name onto the doily since I had forgotten to do that BEFORE gluing it onto the bottle. -__-''

For the rest of the jars, I decided to try something different and cover the lids with pages from various old books - a novel, dictionary and our old hymnal.
I wrote notes with the jars reminding my friends to take time out for themselves to relax and recharge. This made me pause and think about whether I was taking my own advice. I had been planning to use the epsom salts + jasmine bath salts myself, but the idea was always dismissed for another day when I had more time. Finally, a particularly long and stressful day at work pushed me to MAKE time.
Now I can say with even more conviction: Drawing up a hot bath once in a while is needed!!! Just do it. You will be glad you did. ^__^
